Reminder: Virtual GASL Meeting Tonight at 6:30pm (access info at the bottom of this message)

It is not too late to weigh in on the COVID forum discussion If you have not signed up for the forum you can do it from this link

Are developing a consensus around two ideas? Not many people have commented.

1. FACILITY PROCEDURES Change the wording of "There must be a minimum of 20 minutes" to "Reserve adequate" so that the first item reads "Reserve adequate time between practices to allow for cleaning"

2. Changing the title of this document from PROTOCOLS to GUIDANCE, allowing teams and pool managers to adapt as needed for their own facility, and then add a disclaimer:

This guidance document is being provided based on the public health situation as we understand it today. Changes to the public health situation in the coming months may necessitate changes to this guidance. GASL recommends that each GASL team review the latest CDC and Anne Arundel County Dept. of Public Health guidance before establishing their COVID Safety Protocols.

Still Looking for Input:

Jared Calish wants to add the precaution of having the parents/caretakers do the COVID screening at home rather than bringing potentially sick children to the facility.

Anne Canaday is concerned about the burden on the stroke-and-turn judges of including only one official per pool end.

Megan Reiter would like more guidance/discussion on how meets are to be held.
