Greetings GASL leaders-

Some quick reminders for the start of the season:

• Sending Emails: If you need to send an email to GASL make sure you select "GASL Reps and Techs" for the "to". Do NOT use "members" inside of GASL or every family with a swimmer from any team will get your email.
• Time Standard Changes: Thanks to Dan time standards are ready to load into meets. We are working on getting a nice printable version you can post and share-stay tuned.
• Conversion Factor: Reminder the conversion factor for 20-yard pools to 1.31. Those of you swimming at Downs or Indian Hills will see the difference. Please make sure to manually set this conversion if you are swimming at or against those teams.
• Logos and Tech Suits: Reminder that swimmers should be in team logos or plain suits/caps. Tech suits are only permitted at championship meets per league vote.
• Contacts: A GASL contacts list is posted under documents. This is sorted by team and includes the league reps, tech reps and lead officials names. To get their contact information login to the league site and find them under contacts.
• Result Posting: Tech Reps from the home team must post results after the conclusion of the meet with in 4 hours on the GASL website. Save results as pdf with title AWAY TEAM -SCORE at HOME TEAM – SCORE DATE.pdf To post: manage league>schedule>navigate to meet and click>files>new attachment
• Rules: A friendly reminder that the updated 2025 GASL rules are posted on the GASL site. League Reps and Coaches are responsible for being familiar with all standing rules and should have them available should a situation arise. These also clarify what reports to have printed and staffing for meets.
• Lead Officials: New this year the rules have been modified to recommend lead officials connect via email at time of exchange (Thursday) to determine who will serve as lead official. The rules provide a hierarchy for determining this.
• Officials Trainings: Officials must be certified. See GASL website for Officials Training dates. There are two more scheduled- one on Wednesday at the Downs and one next week on Thursday at Harting Farms. Year-round certified officials can send a copy of their credentials to Brad at [email protected]
